Overview
AIB life is the first life insurance company to be established in Ireland. From the outset, AIB Life set out to build a modern, technology-first organisation, designed to meet the expectations of today’s digital customers while complying with the rigorous regulatory standards of the Irish financial services sector.
To support this vision, AIB life partnered with Ergo to design and deliver secure, scalable cloud-based solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.
The Challenge
Launching a new life insurance company from a greenfield site presented AIB life with a rare opportunity, and a complex challenge. With no legacy systems to rely on, the organisation needed to rapidly implement robust digital solutions that would:
- Meet strict regulatory and compliance requirements
- Ensure enterprise-grade security and performance
- Support a brand-new team and operating model
- Enable fast time-to-market in a competitive industry
The Solution
Ergo worked closely with AIB life to design and build solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform, starting with a Sales Compliance Power App. This application enables compliance users to validate that insurance product sales are carried out in a fully compliant manner, an essential capability for any life assurance provider.
As this was AIB Life’s first Power App, Ergo ensured a strong focus on:

- Cloud performance and scalability
- Alignment with internal solution architecture standards
- Ease of use for both business and compliance teams
The success of the initial application laid the foundation for continued collaboration. To date, Ergo has delivered four Power Platform solutions for AIB life, each designed to support operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and digital innovation.
