Ergo Joins V-Alliance for Virtual Desktop Delivery
As an accredited partner of Microsoft and Citrix, Ergo deploys the fruits of the V-Alliance, a partnership between the two vendors focused on delivering the next wave of virtualisation. The virtual desktop is also seen as a significant next step in cloud computing, where customers move from having to make heavy capital investments to running IT as an operational cost out of a central location.
John Purdy, Chief Executive Officer of Ergo, said, “In the current economic climate, a lot of companies don’t have the budget to refresh their desktops and are being forced to sweat their assets longer than they would like. Now there is a new way to do it that saves money and increases efficiency.”

Ergo has set up a dedicated V-Alliance team with engineers that have undergone extensive training to help customers realise the full potential of Microsoft and Citrix products. “It’s a winning combination,” said John Purdy. “A Microsoft Hyper-V platform running Citrix XenDesktop allows an organisation to deliver a virtual desktop and applications to any user, anywhere, at any time.”
