Ergo is named one of Ireland’s Best Medium Workplaces 2016
Ergo Climbs to 8th Place in the Best Workplaces 2016 Awards
Leading IT Services company, Ergo, ranked 8th place in the annual Best Workplaces 2016 Awards held last night held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. This is an impressive climb of 5 places from last year and is Ergo’s 6th year running to win the Best Medium Sized Workplace Award run by the Great Place to Work Institute.
Ergo’s CEO John Purdy attended the awards last night with the internal Great Place to Work Committee and is very proud of Ergo’s continued recognition as a one of the Best Medium Sized Workplaces in Ireland. “This award is significant for a number of reasons, firstly and most importantly it is an endorsement of how far we have travelled over the last number of years, and secondly it allows us to continue to build our brand and especially our brand as an employer. I would like to thank all staff – your honest feedback and participation in this survey is the significant contributor to the award. An outstanding 94% of Ergo employees completed the annual survey, up 8% from last year’s participation. This is a testament to the level of engaged and interested staff at Ergo, and demonstrates that Ergo’s recognition as a Great Place to Work has become part of Ergo’s DNA and is embedded in the organisation’s culture.
About the Awards
The Great Place to Work Institute assesses the policies and practices in place in organisations under nine key areas: inspiring, speaking, listening, caring, developing, thanking, hiring, celebrating and sharing. They then benchmark these practices against other organisations in that country. The second key component of the assessment is an anonymous ‘Trust Index survey’ that gathers the perceptions of employees under the five core dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie. Finally, there is an in-depth qualitative analysis of open ended comments from employees.
