By migrating Carne to Windows 10 and encouraging the adoption of Teams in 2019, Ergo had unknowingly prepared the company for Covid-19 and lockdown. A firm with very little home working experience was suddenly able to switch 350 employees, almost overnight as Pascal Dufour recalled: “It was a big change but it was seamless. All the groundwork was done technically because we had already gone with Microsoft 365, and Ergo advisory services were there to help on the culture change part.”
Being able to connect, collaborate and share documents in Microsoft 365 has enabled Carne to achieve its goal, to centralize and normalize the way employees work and interact from distributed global locations. Teams proved particularly crucial during Covid, not just for internal collaboration and for checking in with employees who found it hard to work from home, but as a way to continue to present to clients.
