The Challenge
Growth through acquisition and an increasingly mobile workforce made it difficult for ASL to support a group that spans two continents and seven locations. The big challenge was being able to provide applications and services across such a geographically dispersed organization and deliver solutions that were accessible to a highly mobilized workforce.
The Solution
Ergo took ASL to the cloud with Office 365 and SharePoint, connecting employees simply and cost effectively using cutting-edge technology. Where Ergo demonstrated particular technical prowess, and its special relationship with Microsoft, was in the deployment of a Microsoft solution that was still to be officially released. Azure Active Directory Sync is a new synchronization service that simplifies multi-forest Active Directory environments, facilitating single sign on to all applications and resources.
A centralized unified communication platform has delivered tangible productivity benefits to better serve the needs of a mobile workforce. The company has achieved greater efficiencies through new ways of working, with executives and aircrew travelling the world and accessing Office 365.
