Ergo was the lead sponsor at the recent Faculty of Engineering and Computing Expo held at Dublin City University. The event, renowned for its vibrant display of cutting-edge projects, was a testament to the college’s commitment to harnessing technology with a focus of societal betterment.

The expo featured over 200 projects, each uniquely focused on addressing pressing societal challenges. Find the full list of projects here. Ergo representatives had the opportunity to engage with the bright minds of tomorrow, witnessing firsthand the potential impact of these innovative solutions on various aspects of daily life.

From sustainable energy solutions to advanced healthcare applications, the projects presented at the expo demonstrated the pivotal role of engineering and computing in driving positive change in society. Ergo’s support of the event underscores our dedication to fostering an environment where technological advancement and social responsibility converge.

Our COO, and DCU Alumni Conal O’Donnell gave a welcome speech to the students and commented on the commendable work they had done. “We are incredibly proud to sponsor an event that not only highlights the remarkable talents of DCU students but also aligns with our core mission of delivering IT solutions that contribute to the greater good,” said Conal O’Donnell, Chief Operating Officer, Ergo.

It was a great opportunity for our managed services and digital team especially, to get a chance to see what the next generation are creating in the world of IT. Ergo strives to support early careers with our Accelerate programme, shaping and mentoring the next generation of great minds. We’d like to thank Jennifer Bruton, the Dean of Engineering and Computing for having us, and congratulations to every student who took part in the Expo.
