UX + Power Platform Benefits

Rapid development should never come at the expense of user experience. Our UX service ensures that even rapidly developed Power Platform solutions whether newly built or already in use are anchored in proven UX design principles. Through a rigorous user-centric approach, we enable the delivery of intuitive, accessible applications at pace. Seamless collaboration between design and development teams ensures that usability is embedded from the outset.

Have an idea for an application to improve your business or organisation? Discuss your ideas with our UX team and we can provide visual mock-ups or prototypes of your application styled in your brand colours and logo within days. By workshopping with visuals of your solution we can spark discussion, accelerate decision-making and bring alignment with both stakeholders and users, helping everyone contribute their perspective and feedback. Edits are fast and we can create multiple versions until we find the right fit for your users and
your business.

Unlocking true ROI from your Power Platform applications starts with a deep understanding of both business needs and user needs. Through interviews with stakeholders and users, our UX team uncovers critical insights into the inefficiencies, frustrations, and complexities that hinder productivity. By identifying and addressing these pain points, we design solutions that streamline processes, save time, and simplify workflows. The result is applications that deliver measurable value to the business while enhancing user satisfaction and driving adoption, ensuring your investment in Power Platform generates lasting, impactful returns.

Meeting accessibility standards is more important than ever, with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) coming into effect in June 2025. Our UX team can help your business ensure that your PowerApps are fully compliant with accessibility requirements. Whether you have existing applications that need auditing or are looking to design new solutions, we offer expert support to identify gaps, recommend improvements, and build user-centric apps that meet both legal obligations and best practices. By prioritising accessibility, you not only achieve compliance, you create better experiences for all users.

Too often, applications feel like they were designed for robots, not real people. At the heart of our approach to designing Power Platform solutions is a commitment to simplicity and clarity. We cut through the complexity by creating user flows that feel natural and intuitive, with clear, plain English language and error messages that are kind and constructive. Moreover, we can avoid the need for time-consuming on-boarding and training which can often be a sign of a poor user experience. Our goal is to design applications that users can easily navigate on their own, without the need for lengthy, complicated instruction, enabling them to complete tasks with ease and confidence.

Our Collaborative Approach

1. Discover

We begin by understanding your business goals, user needs, and technical context. Through stakeholder workshops, interviews, and user research, we uncover key insights and align on priorities.

2. Define

We synthesise research findings into user personas, customer journeys, and design requirements. This stage ensures that all teams have a shared understanding of who we’re designing for and what success looks like.

3. Design

We translate insights into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs. Feedback loops and usability testing are built in to validate design decisions early and often.

4. Deliver

We collaborate closely with development teams to ensure designs are implemented as intended. Design assets, specifications, and support are provided to ensure a smooth handover and a polished end product.

What can UX do for your organisation?

Our UX experts design applications to be easy and efficient to use by following proven principles that help users complete tasks with less effort. They focus on using clear, simple plain English language so that users always understand what to do and what’s happening on screen. We ensure our apps provide helpful error messages that clearly explain the issues and how to fix them. We utilise common design patterns, avoiding unnecessary training and allowing for a seamless transition. Most importantly, they make sure that the right information and guidance is always available at the right time and place, helping users move through tasks smoothly and confidently.

Users visiting but not purchasing – we can audit and or redesign your applications UI, a sleek modern user interface will help users feel more secure and comfortable purchasing on your application. Users exiting before completing sales – we can test, audit and or redesign your checkout screens analysing causes of user abandonment and implementing tried and tested methods to improve chances of retention.

We can provide an accessibility audit to ensure that your application meets WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements in preparation for implementation of “The European Accessibility Act” which has been implemented into Irish law and will apply from June 2025. For example, we can help ensure that all important elements such as text and buttons are perceivable for all users, including those with visual disabilities by implementing high colour contrast ratios, making sure the application is appropriately set up for screen-readers and keyboard input.

Users struggling during the log in process, account registration or just generally getting stuck is often a result of a purely designed user experience – we can identify, audit and redesign the user flows which are resulting in the creation of support tickets. Using tried and tested user-flows, clear and concise language and by validating what we design through usability testing we can make a real impact and save on support costs.

The world today is filled with exceptionally well designed and tested applications. To encourage users to engage with your application as easy as they do to everyday apps like Instagram, Airbnb or Deliveroo we need to ensure that your application mirrors the common patterns and interactions found in these everyday apps, in short we don’t need to reinvent the wheel, better yet we should stand on the shoulders of giants that are tried and thoroughly tested. With this approach, your users won’t have to relearn what they already know, and application adoption and engagement with your users is more likely.
