Ergo to Partake in Major Government Framework for MPS

Ergo has been selected to participate in a major government framework for managed print services, expected to generate savings of up to €44 million over the next two years.

At the framework launch on the 13th of February, Brian Hayes TD, Minister of Sate said: “This Framework provides a tool for real public service reform that generates transparency in cost and generates savings that will be of direct benefit to all of the tax payers in this country”.

For the majority of public sector bodies their office print regime is rather ad-hoc. A typical Government office has multiple print and imaging devices such as; photocopiers, scanners and faxes. Generally, these devices come from a wide range of different suppliers with separate supply and servicing arrangements. This type of print environment is costly, inefficient and difficult to manage.

With a managed print service, these public sector bodies will benefit from a fleet of the latest generation multi-function printers, creating a print environment that can be managed centrally to cut costs, increa se efficiencies and address environmental issues by saving and reducing waste.

Commenting on the Framework, Ergo CEO, John Purdy said: “We are delighted to participate in this framework and look forward to providing these non-commercial public sector organisations with modern, reliable and cost effective print solutions, delivering significant savings to the state.
