Ergo Employee Spotlight Series – Rob Year!

Tell us about your career progression during your time in Ergo?

I started in Ergo on the Level 1 Engineer on the Service Desk in 2014. As time went on and my experience grew, I started working on big projects for the company which enabled me to travel to different places such as England, Italy and Germany. I progressed to a Level 2 Engineer where I worked on an Enterprise Account for Ergo. I have recently moved into a more Service Delivery role.

What makes you proud to work at Ergo?

The people – No matter what the issue is, someone is always willing to help you.

Tell us about your experience with working virtually during a pandemic? How did your ways of working change and what was your key takeaway?
Sticking to a routine has helped me. I get up at the same time as I would if I was commuting into the office. I make sure to get out for fresh air during lunch or at the end of the day. Also, turning one of the spare rooms into an office was a massive help as I was able to separate my work space and that room became my place of work instead of the office which helped with concentration and limited distractions.
