Diversity
and Inclusion
Fostering an inclusive work environment and celebrating the differences that make us unique.
Embracing
Differences
Among Ergo’s six core values are: inclusion and diversity, a commitment to nurturing a culture where we embrace differences, and helping all of our employees to thrive and feel fulfilled in their roles within the company.
Ensuring everyone feels included is a major focus at Ergo – regardless of age, race, disability, gender, or sexual orientation.
Ergo’s commitment to diversity achieves Silver award
In 2022, The Irish Centre for Diversity has awarded Ergo the prestigious Investors in Diversity Silver mark, which recognises a company’s success in embedding equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in its business. The Irish Centre for Diversity offers Ireland’s only Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) mark for Irish businesses, supported by Ibec.

Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives
All our recruitment processes are continually vetted to ensure the language we use is open and inclusive. We prioritise inclusive job descriptions by outlining a broad set of requirements, welcoming candidates with valuable skills and diverse experiences. Our diverse interview panels have helped Ergo to get different perspectives when hiring candidates. A key pillar of our recruitment strategy is to train our recruiters to recognise and understand the role that unconscious bias plays in the recruitment process and counteract it.
We strive to create a culture that promotes sharing of knowledge and skills to cultivate inclusive thinking and actions. Our people managers benefit from practical tools such as inclusive leadership and unconscious bias training to deepen their understanding of how unconscious bias may impact our culture and to encourage positive role modelling that empowers everyone to realize their full potential. We extend our commitment by generating awareness on a wide range of diversity areas such as being an ally and supporting LGBTQI+ employees, and enhancing consciousness about neurodiversity at the workplace.
We understand that driving diversity and inclusion in the workplace is not just the right thing to do, but it also makes good business sense. As part of our ambitious Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) programme, Ergo has established a committee to drive D&I policy and initiatives. The committee actively organizes events and awareness initiatives to celebrate the differences that make us unique and reviews company policies to nurture our equal opportunities culture.
Ergo are a member of the Connecting Women in Technology (CWIT) network which is aimed at attracting, retaining and promote women in the technology sector. We also value opportunities to support charities aimed at cultivating diversity and inclusion at a community level. Recent examples of our collaboration include initiatives in conjunction with As I Am, BeLong to, and ShoutOut.
We are on a journey at Ergo and our work is never fully done. It calls on the participation of the many rather than a few to create an inclusive and diverse environment that is fundamental to everything we do. It’s about inclusive thinking and action that enables everyone to reach their full potential.
