Telecoms Solution Architect

Presidio IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Telecoms Solution Architect to join a global telecommunications network provider based in Dublin City Centre.

This is a long-term contract opportunity for an architect with a strong understanding of telecommunications network environments, system integrations and end-to-end service flows. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining and shaping technical solutions, ensuring alignment between network infrastructure, operational systems and commercial billing requirements.

The role will suit someone who combines strong technical architecture capabilities with an understanding of the commercial and operational aspects of telecommunications services, particularly billing processes, Call Detail Records (CDRs) and network data flows.

What will you do?

• Design and develop end-to-end solution architectures within a complex telecommunications environment.
• Analyse and document network systems, architectures, interfaces and end-to-end data flows.
• Define how network platforms and supporting business systems interact, ensuring effective integration and information exchange.
• Work closely with technical, engineering, operational and commercial stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop solution designs covering telecommunications billing platforms, CDR processing and associated data flows.
• Assess existing systems and recommend architectural improvements, enhancements and integration approaches.
• Produce high-quality architecture documentation, solution designs, technical specifications and process flows.
• Support the preparation and technical evaluation of tenders, Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
• Ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements, technical standards, scalability and operational needs.

What do you need?

• Proven experience working as a Solution Architect within the telecommunications or network services sector.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications network systems, architectures and end-to-end network flows.
• Experience working with complex system integrations and data flows across multiple platforms.
• Knowledge of telecommunications billing systems, billing processes and associated data structures.
• Experience working with Call Detail Records (CDRs) and an understanding of how network usage data feeds into billing and operational systems.
• Ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into clear architectural solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage across both technical and business teams.
• Experience producing architecture diagrams, technical documentation and solution design specifications.

Desirable Experience

• Previous involvement in the preparation, review or technical assessment of tenders, RFQs and RFPs.
• Experience supporting commercial bid processes and responding to customer technical requirements.
• Exposure to large-scale, international telecommunications environments.
• Knowledge of OSS/BSS platforms and their integration with network and billing systems.
• Experience working across multiple technology platforms and complex enterprise environments.
