Overview

A semi-state client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support implementation of its Data Strategy by engaging with business and functional areas to identify, analyse and document requirements for internal systems, business processes, data flows, reports and dashboards.

This will include process mapping, data audit and cataloguing, data cleaning and rationalisation, a Data Asset Register, data management plans, and requirements for automation, rationalisation, integration and system enhancement.

The Business Analyst will engage employees and managers to document current processes, identify related data, clarify ownership and stewardship, and translate improvement opportunities into prioritised requirements for systems, user interfaces, integration, reports and dashboards.

Experience Required.

• 10+ years experience working as a Business Analyst
• Evidence of at least two relevant assignments involving data strategy, systems integration/change, digital transformation, workflow improvement, reporting improvement or data-related requirements gathering.
• Demonstrated ability to produce structured business requirements, process maps, data flow documentation and acceptance criteria.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and engaging business and technical users.
• Experience documenting requirements for systems, reports, dashboards, integration’s or data quality improvements.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to produce documentation for formal review, approval, procurement and handover.
• A recognised third-level qualification at Level 8 on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications, or equivalent, in Business Information Systems, Information Management, Data Management, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Digital Transformation or a related discipline.
• Experience in a public sector, semi-state, local authority, regulatory, infrastructure or operationally complex environment.
• Knowledge of change management, benefits realisation, user adoption, training and knowledge transfer, would be desirable.

Note: This will be 2-3 days a week drawn down over 12 months.
