County Meath’s Junior Entrepreneurs
A Truly Remarkable Showcase from County Meath’s Junior Entrepreneurs
We had over 330 pupils and their teachers in attendance at this year’s Junior Entrepreneur Programme (JEP) County Showcase Day in The Knightsbrook Hotel in Co. Meath on April 27th, 2016. Throughout the day there were magnificent examples of entrepreneurship. Pupils and their teachers had the opportunity to showcase their classroom businesses.
Junior Entrepreneur Programme
Throughout the 10-week JEP programme , pupils learn about entrepreneurship, brainstorm ideas, decide on a business idea and work in teams to turn their idea into a reality. With the guidance and support of their teacher, classmates, principal and local community, the participating classes have created something truly remarkable.
On the day
Projects showcased on the day ranged from colorful sun shells, handy cookbooks to pencil holders and many other amazing products. The atmosphere was electric as the Junior Entrepreneurs visited the other exhibitors and learned about the other projects on showcase.
John Purdy, was delighted to be involved in this fantastic programme which promotes Ireland’s youngest entrepreneurs; “The presentation’s here today were inspirational, I was overwhelmed by the creativity and positivity shown. The students who participate in this 10 week programme get the opportunity to develop a range of skills from problem solving, to creative thinking and consumer awareness.
