For the fifth time in six years Ergo has been recognized by Microsoft for its market-leading modern workplace solutions, most recently now with the Microsoft Ireland Partner of the Year Award for Modern Work, the category that covers the most widely-used applications and services for workplace transformation.
Projects from Ergo’s award-winning team typically embed a culture of collaboration and secure hybrid working inside global multi-site organizations, using Microsoft Cloud solutions like Microsoft 365, Teams and SharePoint to bring disparate workforces together for a seamless experience. A recent example is a leading player in the pharmaceutical industry, which chose Ergo for a transformative project centered around workplace collaboration and productivity with Microsoft 365 to empower 1,200 employees across six countries. This is a testament to the strength of Ergo’s innovative work not only in Ireland but also off-island, where highly skilled Ergo people are keeping global customers at the leading edge of technology.
Frazer Furlong, Group Chief Commercial Officer at Ergo, commented, “Winning the Microsoft Partner of the Year Award in Modern Work reaffirms Ergo’s position at the forefront of one of the most fundamental drivers of business technology, enabling people to work the way they want and be more productive. From supporting hybrid ways of working to securing organizational productivity during crucial times in companies such as mergers and acquisitions, Ergo has earned a reputation for itself as the market leader.”
Ergo’s success in Modern Work can be attributed to cultivating deep expertise over many years, most recently Simon Daly, who joins Ergo to lead commercial strategy for the Modern Work practice, from Microsoft where he was responsible for helping public sector and enterprise organizations to foster greater productivity and collaboration. Nurturing internal talent has also been important. Ergo has one of the deepest pools of Microsoft engineers in Ireland, including six MVPs (Most Valuable Professionals) – the highest skills accreditation awarded by Microsoft – three of whom contribute to Modern Work and Enterprise Mobility projects.
In recent years, a big area of focus for Ergo has been the financial services sector, where Modern Work technologies are not just an enabler for distributed workforces but are strategically useful for accelerating Mergers & Acquisitions. M&A success depends in part on ensuring undisrupted productivity among the consolidated workforce, without any compromise on the employee experience.
Ergo launched its Mergers & Acquisitions Integration Solution to preserve and maintain organizational productivity throughout the M&A process and realise merger benefits faster. Ergo’s team of consultants has been involved in some of the highest profile acquisition projects in Europe in recent years and bring a wealth of expertise to assist organizations throughout the process. Users are supported throughout the transition by its Adoption and Change Management practice, another component of the company’s Modern Work proposition.
Strengthening ancillary areas like Security and Compliance has been another priority, recognising that successful workplace transformation depends on many disciplines. Recently, Ergo also achieved the distinction of a Microsoft Solutions Partner for Modern Work, demonstrating broad capabilities to help customers boost their productivity and make the shift to hybrid work by using Microsoft 365.
All our achievements have been a team effort spanning many disciplines, because that’s what the modern workplace demands. There’s no point in making employees more productive if the way you do it makes sensitive data less secure. We look at every client project holistically and that’s what sets Ergo apart.
Modern Workplace Practice Lead and Microsoft MVP, Ergo.
